A Great Review for Bad Rock Beat Down

Authors always appreciate reviews, and we really like great ones. Reader Chris Patrick Carolan enjoyed Bad Rock Beat Down and left a well thought out review. Here it is:

The second book in Michael Prelee’s ‘Milky Way Repo’ series builds upon all the best notes of its predecessor without feeling for one moment like a retread. Captain Nathan Teller and crew return with more blue collar sci-fi adventure, visiting new planets, finding new allies and enemies, and running up against new problems while just trying to make ends meet and stay in the air (easier said than done). The action is fast-paced, the dialog is snappy, and the storytelling is tight throughout. The last chapter took a rather unexpected turn and set up what ought to be a fantastic third book!
My only (minor) complaint here is that a few returning characters from the first book don’t really get much to do in the story and feel like they’re just along for the ride. This can be a problem in an ongoing story with an ensemble cast, but hopefully everyone will have a more active role to play as the series continues.
